ACL for the 6th Year

I feel now and then, I shall remind myself or at least remember the time when pastor cx (or at least I think it’s her or was it ps becky) first approached me for the role of ACL I think hmm.. 6 years ago? (1 with Yvonne, 3 with cindy, abt 2 after cindy) I remembered how excited I was. I’ve been looking for a ministry and I was raring to serve anywhere the pastors are willing to approach me on. I jumped at the opportunity to be one. To say that I’ve not thought of quitting at all, I’ll be lying, in fact 2 or 3 times I’ve told myself, “okay, I’ll step down end of the year” , but it’s always the thought that there is no replacement as yet forced the idea temporarily aside.

But I think last year or 2 years ago, in the first service of the yearps calvin preached, he has never thought of stepping down and urged leaders not to give up cos there’s not stop to the race or something like that. For some reason I was really inspired and reminded me of my first time I took up the role. There is really no better ministry than cell ministry, where you can directly do something to touch ppl’s life, help ppl feel at home, have a place they belong to in church, let ppl know they have somebody who will encourage them and standby them. Create opportunities to build bonding, opportunities to evangelise, build up word of God and worship together and basically build ppl up to be nearer to God. Yes, it takes up a lot of time, energy, commitment and re-adjustment of priorities, but once again, ill remind myself or let God remind me, that this is the best ministry to serve God in, in times when I’m tired and no one to rely on.

Cycling recee.

My flu is back with a vengence and this time longer than ever.. sigh.. but i don't want to stop my life just because i'm perpetually either drowsy from the flu or drowsy from the medicine, but oh well.. put me in a sedated mood could be good sometimes..

Went on the cycling recee trip with ZL, so happens non of the rest can make it and i want to try to see if i could do it, better to "dui lian" in front of one person than the whole group.. =p the truth is my cycling skills sux.. if the path is big i got no prob cycling in a straight line steadily.. but if it's narrow with drains at the side, mentally i'm stumbled and i'll start to waver and fall :p stupid me.. so don't know how many times i got off and push the bike hehe..think w/o me he could have finished in half the time we took manz.

Certain areas in singapore i've realised is quitenice.. so can't help but to whip out my camera.

cant' remember which expressway, but i think somewhere near Siemens/ st andrews village i think.. then this bridge near kallang river just in front of brewerks is superbly nice ah.. omg.. good to have a stroll with that special someone.

虽然这几次我一不像头几次那么的受影响， 可是心里总是有个，到底有没有，会不会。真是苦恼。真是不喜欢这种心情。 好想往天空自由飞翔，可总被拉回这世界。 主啊， 帮我剪断这绳子吧。

anyway, back to sparring, i think i'm not that scared anymore.. but i really need MORE PRACTISE!! and my stamina and speed need to improve.. sometimes in my head u know wat to do.. but closing the gap between thoughts and actions is just so tough... oh well. at least i'm not that scared anymore..

jogging

went for my standard 5km run although damn slow.. but good to complete it cos stamina laggng from all the hols.. realised jogging is a really good thing to do , although i may not thorooughly enjoy it, but here's why i like to jog..

1) help to build up stamina for tkd
2) burn some fats on my stomache
3) it's cheap! in fact free!
4) not limited to any closing hours
5) helps to release stress both emotionally and physically
6) and the best thing of all i just discovered , i can have a pretty good prayer time with God, it's a personal time with God where since i'm alone and need to keep my mind of my tiredness, i'll talk to HIm.. so today run for 45 mins talk to him for 45 mins break my own record. but Thank God for that time.. =)

Cell Vday

Today, the guys in our cell so sweet, together they give the girls in our cell a suprise so sweet and nice..

First they came earlier to draw on the white board, pretty nice i must say hahah

Then they gave each one of us a rose

and together they wrote a card for everyone..

getting lazy!

OMG!! if i don't freaking exercise tonight, it'll be 5 days in a row that i didnt' exercise not because of any major injuries!! that's the longest period in like what, more than a year!! i really need to sweat it out tonight big time manz else i'll either get depressed, fat or my whole body is going to convulse from too much sedentary lifestyle.

Time out with God

Came home early when i'm supposed to go for class, but for some reason i had diahorrea the last few days, so don't think could go, and try not to exert , so no exercise also.. or maybe subconsciously i'm just findng an excuse to be lazy this week.

Any how, realise havent did a proper bible study for some time. spent more than half an hour in my room worshipping God, another 1 hour doing a bible study on Amos 1 and 2. it's really time i chug all my messy thoughts aside and put God in the Throne of my life once again. Once again i've underestimated God by going round in circles about my issue in my brain uselessly (if there ever is such a word) again.

benjamin button

watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button yesterday with denise, ah law and benne. gosh.. by the time it finished it's almost midnight .. :p but the show is great! And really for once, you have a show with brad pitt and he hardly shows you much flesh and there's hardly any sex scene. That's good manz! I find the 3 hours just nice, and shorter and you can't get to appreciate the story. there's romance, there's comedy, nice story.. i think i'm going to buy the vcd hehe
